Ukrainian Games Festival Goes Live on Steam with 680 Games and 50 New Reveals

The fifth annual Ukrainian Games Festival is officially underway on Steam, running through August 24 to coincide with Ukraine's Independence Day. Organized by the Ukrainian publishing agency Palaye, the week-long event has expanded into the largest showcase of its kind to date, bringing together more than 680 Ukrainian games and upcoming projects alongside numerous new releases, hundreds of discounts, and over 190 playable demos.

A major highlight of this year's festival is the debut of UGF Direct, a dedicated video showcase featuring more than 60 trailers and announcements from Ukrainian developers. Alongside the new showcase, the event features more than 50 newly revealed games. Notable highlights include Starni Games' turn-based tactical mech title Steel Core, Hello Andromeda's first-person horror game Sarco, and the Soviet retrofuturist station-management game Saturn 94 from developers Andrii Bychkovskyi, hrhrsh, and oprmt. Other newly announced titles encompass Hello Andromeda's Fog’n’Silence, Horse Position's visual novel Tulpa the Unseen Lover, Podoba Interactive's folk horror I Hear the Forest, Max Soloha's I’m not a Psycho Invader, and Stas Shostak's narrative puzzle-shooter Hear My Light.

Dozens of games are launching during the festival window itself, including Tukoni: Forest Keepers, Last Pirates: Die Together, The Sinking City 2, and Profits 2167, with Stalker 2: Cost of Hope scheduled to follow on August 21. In addition to upcoming projects and new releases, the festival includes steep promotions across major titles. Discounts reach up to 90% off for selections like the complete Metro series and Frogwares' Sherlock Holmes franchise, while titles like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Becastled, Ostriv, STONKS-9800, and SAND: Raiders of Sophie receive notable price reductions.

The festival is currently featured prominently on the Steam front page, offering players worldwide a comprehensive look at the scope and ongoing work of the Ukrainian development community.
