Ubisoft has posted multiple job listings for the Splinter Cell Remake in recent weeks, signaling continued development on the project that has faced prolonged delays and uncertainty since its 2021 announcement.

Insider Gaming identified at least three hiring posts for the remake in the past few months, including two in the previous two weeks. A Producer role emphasizes the need to "Take part in recruitment to build your team and foster the professional growth and career progression of its talents." A Team Lead Level Designer position similarly lists "Support onboarding and hiring efforts to help maintain team cohesion and effectiveness" as a key responsibility.

The timing of these listings offers reassurance after a turbulent development cycle. Ubisoft has undergone significant layoffs, studio closures, and restructurings since the remake was announced, repeatedly raising questions about the project's status. Reports from July suggested the game was in a fragile state, fueling concerns it might never release.

However, the specific wording of the Producer posting indicates the game is not severely behind schedule. The job description requires candidates "able to deliver their chunk of the game on time and in a supportive environment," suggesting development is progressing in defined phases rather than languishing in early production.

The remake's director returned to Ubisoft late last year to continue work on the project. Insider Gaming has reported the game remains in active development, with footage showing dialogue between Sam Fisher and Irving Lambert in what was described as a superb cinematic.

Details about the remake's scope have emerged through leaked screenshots from 2024, though they provide limited insight into how far development has progressed. The game's release date remains unknown, though Insider Gaming previously reported 2024 as an internal target window that has since been delayed.

No official announcement on the remake has been made since its initial reveal nearly four years ago. Splinter Cell fans have endured years of sporadic rumors and limited information about Ubisoft's plans for the franchise revival.
