Two 'Day One' Releases Confirmed For Xbox Game Pass Over The Next Few Days

Two 'day one' titles have been confirmed for Xbox Game Pass heading into a busy week of showcases for Gamescom 2026. Subscribers across Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass can look forward to adding these upcoming additions to their libraries over the final days of August 2026.

The first release is Blood Dungeon, a 2D platforming autoshooter developed by the creators of the two-player fighting game Nidhogg. Serving as a prequel to the award-winning A Plague Tale series, this original story follows Sophia as she journeys to the Minotaur's Island, outsmarts deadly foes, uncovers ancient secrets, and confronts a mythical creature at the heart of a devastating curse.
