Trombone Champ: Unflattened Launches Disney Movie Magic Volume 1 DLC

Flat2VR Studios and publisher Impact Inked have released a new downloadable content pack for Trombone Champ: Unflattened, titled Disney Movie Magic Volume 1. The paid music expansion is available now for $9.99 across Meta Quest, SteamVR, and PlayStation VR2 platforms. The base game is priced at $19.99.

Originally debuting as a flat-screen musical rhythm game in 2022 before receiving a well-received VR adaptation by Flat2VR Studios in 2024, the title combines comedic tone with trombone performance mechanics. The new Disney-themed expansion introduces seven beloved tracks, two dedicated Disney concert environments referencing Pixar's Toy Story and 1989's The Little Mermaid, and assorted cosmetics.

Players can launch into six available songs from the start of the DLC pack: "A Whole New World" from Aladdin, "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid, "You've Got a Friend in Me" from Toy Story, "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast, "Circle of Life" from The Lion King, and "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid. Each individual song features three specific achievements. By collecting a designated number of cumulative achievements, players unlock a "Final Boss" challenge featuring a medley mashup of all included tracks.

While the cartoon presentation and nostalgic playlist offer a lighthearted atmosphere, certain tracks present significant gameplay challenges. Fast-paced selections like "Be Our Guest" require rapid pitch changes and hand-eye coordination, particularly on higher difficulty settings. Consistent with the core game, the VR version supports seated or standing play without requiring locomotion, alongside options for left or right-handed controls.
