Tripwire Announces Maneater 2 Following State of Play Reveal
Tripwire has officially announced Maneater 2, featuring the return of narrator Chris Parnell and a setting inside Neptune’s Kingdom theme park.
Developer and publisher Tripwire has officially announced Maneater 2, bringing players back for another round of oceanic chaos. The sequel was revealed during a recent PlayStation State of Play presentation, complete with a reveal trailer that highlighted new gameplay locations and features.
Set within the Neptune’s Kingdom theme park, the upcoming title allows players to hunt, mutate, and fight as the ultimate apex predator of the seas. Fans of the original game will be pleased to hear the return of actor Chris Parnell, known for his work on Saturday Night Live, Archer, and Rick and Morty. Parnell will reprise his role as Trip Westhaven, the narrator and former host of the reality television show featured in the game.
The newly debuted reveal trailer also showcased a variety of fresh adversaries for the shark protagonist to battle, including piranhas, snapping turtles, and a giant enemy crab. While specific release date details have not yet been announced, the trailer notes a 2027 launch window. Additionally, the developer and publisher expect the title to receive an M for Mature or 18+ rating. Maneater 2 is expected to launch on PC and current-generation consoles.
