Train Sim World 7 Announces Tadami Line Route Add-on Release Date

Dovetail Games has announced Train Sim World 7: Tadami Line, an upcoming route add-on developed by Union Workshop that will launch on September 29, 2026.

Dovetail Games has officially announced Train Sim World 7: Tadami Line: Aizu-Wakamatsu – Tadami, marking the franchise's first foray into rural Japan. Developed by Union Workshop, the new route add-on is scheduled to release on September 29, 2026, priced at £29.99, €35.99, or $39.99. The upcoming expansion lets players navigate an 88-kilometer scenic railway route through Fukushima Prefecture, featuring 28 detailed stations operating between Aizu-Wakamatsu and Tadami.

Set before the severe rainfall of 2011 that caused long-term disruptions to the physical railway, the simulation allows players to experience the complete historic route as it existed prior to the damage. The centerpiece of the add-on is the classic KiHa 40 diesel railcar, provided in three distinct liveries, alongside authentic Japanese signaling and Automatic Train Stop (ATS) safety systems. The gameplay incorporates seasonal weather variations, transitioning from spring cherry blossoms and summer forests to snow-covered winter mountains across river valleys, dams, and bridges.

In addition to standard timetable services modeled on real-world operations, the add-on includes a Tutorial, Route Introduction, Journey Mode, Route Tasks, and Free Roam. Players can also utilize the Livery Designer, Formation Designer, and Scenario Planner for further customization. The route will launch exclusively for Train Sim World 7, which itself arrives on September 15 alongside a Free Starter Edition. The base game is currently available to pre-order for a discounted $44.99, while the Tadami Line route add-on can be added to Steam wishlists ahead of its scheduled September launch.
