Total War: Shogun 2 Complete Edition Announced for PC Release in October 2026
Total War: Shogun 2 Complete Edition is coming to PC on October 13, 2026, bringing improved visuals, modern technical updates, and all original downloadable content.
Total War: Shogun 2 is returning with a new bundle called the Complete Edition. The package launches for PC on October 13, 2026. It combines the base grand strategy game with its historical campaigns and downloadable content.
The Complete Edition includes both original expansions. Rise of the Samurai is set during the Genpei War in 1175, and Fall of the Samurai portrays the Boshin War during the clash between tradition and industrialization. Players who already own the original game will receive the downloadable content at no additional cost and will also gain access to a time-limited 75 percent discount on the Complete Edition.
The updated release features multiple technical enhancements. It includes a 64-bit upgrade, improved visuals with better lighting and shadows, 1440p and 4K user interface scaling, and ultrawide monitor support. Other additions are modernized controls, colorblind accessibility options, full Japanese and Chinese voice and text localization, and integrated Mod.io support. The package also introduces more than 50 newly playable factions.
