Tokyo Xtreme Racer confirms paid DLC plans with new guest rivals

Developer Genki has confirmed it is working on paid DLC packs for Tokyo Xtreme Racer. The announcement comes as the arcade racing game marks its first anniversary since full release.

"We are currently working on new paid DLC for Tokyo Xtreme Racer," Genki stated. "Our goal is to deliver new content that will give everyone who has enjoyed the game even more to look forward to. Further details, including the content and release timing, will be announced at a later date."

The first collaboration will be with diecast model maker MINI GT and includes five cars: Honda Civic Type R (FL5) 2022, Toyota Supra RZ (JZA80) 1997, Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II (BRN34), Datsun Sunny Truck 1200 Long Body Deluxe (GB121) '79, and Datsun Sunny Truck MINI GT RS-02X "Kagami". Four of these cars are available as free Guest Rival Vol. 3 DLC for a limited period starting September 25, 2026.

The paid DLC will add new guest rivals, the boss vehicles and characters players race against in the game's career mode. Genki also plans to expand beyond the MINI GT partnership. "We also plan to expand our collaborations beyond what we have done so far, working with people and partners from a wider range of fields," the developer said.

The announcement also addressed platform expansion. Genki ruled out Xbox and Switch ports in the short term, with paid DLC currently planned for PC and PlayStation 5 versions only.
