The Witcher 3 Remastered joins Xbox Play Anywhere, free on PC for Xbox owners
CD Projekt Red confirms The Witcher 3 Remastered will support Xbox Play Anywhere when it launches September 29, letting Xbox Series X|S players access the game on PC at no extra cost.
CD Projekt Red has confirmed that The Witcher 3 Remastered will support Xbox Play Anywhere, Microsoft's program that grants access to games across Xbox and PC platforms with a single purchase.
Players who own The Witcher 3 Remastered on Xbox Series X|S will be able to play the game on PC entirely for free starting September 29. The announcement came via CD Projekt Red's official social channels.
The remaster itself arrives as a free upgrade for existing Witcher 3 owners, bundling improved combat and reworked visuals alongside the new functionality. Xbox Play Anywhere eliminates the need for separate purchases on different platforms, streamlining access for players who game across multiple systems.
The Witcher 3 Remastered marks another title joining Xbox's cross-platform initiative, which also includes the disc-to-digital program rolling out for physical game owners. Beyond the remaster, CD Projekt Red is developing the expansion Songs of the Past and continuing work on The Witcher 4.
