Less than a week after launch, The Blood of Dawnwalker developer is already getting to work on the sequel

Less than a week after its initial release, the vampiric horror RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker has proven to be a major success. Developer Rebel Wolves announced plans for a sequel following strong commercial and critical performance, including more than one million copies sold in just a few days, a "very positive" rating on Steam, and an 83% review score from PC Gamer.

Jakub Szamałek, narrative director at Rebel Wolves, shared on LinkedIn that the studio is not resting on its laurels and is already thinking about the next steps for the franchise. Szamałek noted that the team is searching for a lead writer to collaborate with the narrative department and help craft the next chapter in the Dawnwalker saga. The role requires a minimum of six years of experience as a writer or narrative designer in the video game industry, along with team management experience and a track record of outstanding achievement.

Although Rebel Wolves is a young studio with its debut project fresh on the market, the core team is composed of industry veterans from CD Projekt. Szamałek previously served as principal writer on Cyberpunk 2077, Thronebreaker, and Gwent, alongside earning writing credits on The Witcher 3 and its expansions. Following the launch of The Blood of Dawnwalker, numerous former colleagues from CD Projekt offered their congratulations on the game's successful release.
