The Blood of Dawnwalker Won't Feature a 60FPS Mode on PS5, PS5 Pro, or Xbox Series X

Developer Rebel Wolves, featuring former developers behind The Witcher 3, and publisher Bandai Namco have revealed the graphical mode options for upcoming role-playing game The Blood of Dawnwalker. According to recently shared console gameplay footage and trailers, the title will not feature a 60 frames-per-second option on any major console platform when it launches on September 3.

Players utilizing Microsoft's flagship Xbox Series X will be limited to a choice between 30fps and 40fps performance modes. Meanwhile, owners of Sony's base PlayStation 5 and the enhanced PlayStation 5 Pro will encounter a similar limitation. Although the PS5 Pro version is confirmed to offer enhanced visual quality across its settings, neither Sony console supports a 60fps framerate. Reviewers and players have noted the absence of a dedicated performance mode, particularly given the inclusion of settings like a balanced mode alongside quality options.

Currently, details regarding the performance targets for Microsoft's less powerful Xbox Series S console remain unreleased. The Blood of Dawnwalker is scheduled to launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and GOG.
