The Batman 2 Set Photos Reveal a Battle-Damaged Batmobile

Recent set photos from the production of The Batman: Part II have surfaced online, revealing that Robert Pattinson's vigilante will face some vehicular trouble in the upcoming sequel. A leaked image posted to social media shows a transporter carrying the Batmobile, which features a massive dent on the side that appears to stem from a heavy crash. Alongside the damaged vehicle on the truck, a separate undamaged car shell was also spotted. The vehicle retains a similar design to the custom muscle car seen in the 2022 film, featuring minor tweaks.

Production for the sequel has been underway in Glasgow, Scotland, where additional footage has captured the jet-black car and its exposed rear engine driving through city streets. Directed by Matt Reeves, the film has experienced multiple delays from an initial October 2025 window before securing an early 2028 theatrical release date. While plot details remain scarce, the returning cast includes Robert Pattinson alongside Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, and Colin Farrell as The Penguin. New additions feature Sebastian Stan in a mystery role—with fans speculating he may play Harvey Dent or Victor Zsasz—and Scarlett Johansson, potentially starring as Poison Ivy. Furthermore, behind-the-scenes material suggests the criminal organization known as the Court of Owls may hold a major role in the narrative.

The Batman: Part II is currently scheduled to hit theaters on February 18, 2028.
