Stupid Never Dies Slated for October Release on PC and PlayStation 5
GPTRACK50 and Sega have announced an October release date for Stupid Never Dies, alongside details on its action combat, transformation systems, and available playable demo.

GPTRACK50 and Sega have confirmed that the action RPG Stupid Never Dies will launch on PC and PlayStation 5 on October 21, 2026. Ahead of the upcoming release, a playable demo is currently available for players to try out. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world following the Great War, where humanity faces extinction and monsters such as werewolves, lizardmen, and skeletons rule the landscape.
Players control a bottom-rung zombie named Davy who finds a frozen human girl named Julia inside a shopping mall freezer. After falling in love at first sight and resolving to bring her back to life, Davy accidentally steals a meal granting him powerful new capabilities. Developer GPTRACK50 and Director Eiichiro Sasaki recently showcased these mechanics in the first installment of a Deep Bite video series, detailing the title's transformation systems, character building, and combat approach.
Stupid Never Dies blends fast-paced roguelike mechanics with unconventional combat choices. Players navigate levels by flushing themselves down a toilet to start a manic descent against varied foes including cyclopes, snow faeries, and ghouls. The game omits traditional dodge mechanics in favor of blocking mapped to the L2 button on PlayStation 5. To survive, players can bite and consume enemy essence to temporarily assume enemy forms with distinct abilities, swapping between their zombie form and creature transformations on the fly.
Runs are governed by an active timer that pushes players to move quickly through levels while managing choices regarding enemy color tiers and optional level skipping. Dying sends players back to a base where they can customize weapon arms and keep earned perks, such as substantial XP increases, ensuring that previous runs continue to feel worthwhile. The game features a deliberately garish pop-punk aesthetic combined with procedural level generation.
