Developer Seed Sparkle Lab has officially launched its farming and life simulation RPG, Starsand Island, on the PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 following the completion of its Early Access period. The wider console release brings the pastoral world and its cast of cute critters to a fresh audience of players looking for a cozy adventure centered around rural life.

Mirroring classic formulas of the genre, Starsand Island begins with players trading corporate city life for a quiet countryside existence in their picturesque hometown, where they reunite with childhood friends. However, the game differentiates itself by offering multiple specialized professions, including farming, angling, exploring, ranching, and crafting. Each profession features its own unlockable skill trees, questlines, and milestones that allow players to earn better equipment and useful crafting features at their own pace.
