Sony Officially Reveals Interactive Lego PlayStation Set Featuring Hidden Dioramas

Sony has officially revealed an interactive Lego PlayStation set that recreates the original 1994 console in near 1:1 scale detail. Showcased during the latest State of Play stream, the 18+ kit is built from 1,911 pieces and measures over 2.5 inches high, 10.5 inches wide, and 7.5 inches deep. Unlike smaller hardware replicas such as the Lego Sega Genesis, this model matches the actual size of the original system, providing interior space for unique hidden features.

The build includes working buttons for power and opening the disc tray, alongside an attachable controller that connects via the front port. Inside the console, builders will find two removable mini dioramas inspired by classic titles: a miniature race track featuring scaled-down cars for Gran Turismo, and a lush island course representing Ape Escape. These mini-builds can be taken out and displayed alongside the main console model.

The Lego PlayStation is scheduled for release on October 4 through Lego, with early availability starting October 1 for free Lego Insider members and via PlayStation. The UK pricing is set at £139.99.
