Sony has officially altered its business strategy regarding computer ports. In its annual comprehensive report submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the company removed mentions of plans to continue releasing single-player games from its internal studios on PC. Game File journalist Stephen Totilo noted the change after reviewing the latest regulatory filing.

The update arrives following rumors that circulated since early spring suggesting the company no longer intended to publish single-player titles outside of consoles. The new SEC filing appears to confirm those shifts. Alongside this change, the filing indicates that Sony intends to actively utilize artificial intelligence in game development to enhance experiences and unlock creative potential.

Furthermore, Sony adjusted its financial outlook for the gaming division. While the company previously targeted sustainable and profitable growth, the latest wording focuses solely on ensuring sustainable growth amid current market conditions. Sony acknowledged that hardware and memory market crises could impact PlayStation revenues going forward.
