Skyrim Receives New Fan Expansion Location, The Garden of Venus
A new fan-made expansion location called The Garden of Venus has been released for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, introducing a massive magical palace filled with custom assets.
A brand new fan expansion location has been released for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition by NexusMods user EnemyPK. Titled The Garden of Venus, the modification adds a forgotten Elven magic palace for players to explore. The location comes equipped with various custom assets, including Hearthfire Adoption support, interactive light sources, custom crafting stations, and an animated marble bathing pool.
The newly added palace features interactive mechanics that affect gameplay stats. Players can use brass valves to fill and drain the bathing pool, which grants a Cure Disease effect when used. Additionally, characters can sit at the grand dining table to interact with a large feast. Utilizing the custom menu to consume a hearty meal fully restores Health, Magicka, and Stamina while granting a +150 Restore buff to all three attributes for one hour. The ancient magic found within the palace can also boost specific character skills; 'The Master’s Touch' provides a 30 percent boost to Smithing, while 'The Master’s Elixir' gives a 30 percent boost to Alchemy and Enchanting, each lasting for one hour.
Furthermore, The Garden of Venus incorporates an immersive dynamic lighting system. Players are able to interact with lanterns, candles, and Grand Hearths throughout the palace. Lighting the lanterns and candles requires one unit of Troll Fat, whereas igniting the Grand Hearths requires three units of Firewood.
The release of The Garden of Venus joins a long history of prominent community-made modifications and fan expansions for Skyrim Special Edition. Other well-known expansion-style mods available for the game include Wyrmstooth, Dragon Hall Tavern, Land of Vominhem, Apotheosis, Legacy of the Dragonborn, Shumer and the Priest Kings, and Sigil of the Fallen, alongside various other community creations adding new quests, dungeons, islands, and overhaul systems.
