Simu Liu may have inadvertently confirmed his participation in Avengers: Secret Wars while discussing the long-awaited sequel to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

A now-deleted Instagram video, shared by Itzyreviews and posted on Reddit, showed Liu at a fan signing event. When asked about the Shang-Chi sequel, Liu said he had a to-do list to get through first. He reportedly replied, "First Doomsday, then Secret Wars, then…" before a fan suggested Shang-Chi and the Wreckage of Time, to which Liu responded with "let's hope."

The comments come as Marvel Studios continues building toward its next major crossover events. Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are scheduled as back-to-back releases, with Doomsday set for May 2026 and Secret Wars following in November 2026.

Liu last portrayed Shang-Chi in the 2021 film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Since then, fans have eagerly awaited a sequel, though no official announcement has been made regarding its development.

His apparent confirmation of involvement in Secret Wars suggests the character may play a role in the upcoming reality-bending storyline, which is expected to feature major shifts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
