Shadow of the Road Gets November Release Date and New Trailer at gamescom

Developer Another Angle Games and publisher Owlcat Games announced a November 12 release date for Shadow of the Road during gamescom.

Developer Another Angle Games and publisher Owlcat Games have officially announced that their upcoming tactical role-playing game, Shadow of the Road, will launch on November 12. The release date announcement was made during GameStar’s Find Your Next Game showcase at gamescom, alongside a brand-new trailer offering a closer look at the title's unique world and combat systems.

The newly released trailer showcases the game's mismatched party of characters, which includes ex-samurai, Shogunate retainers, a mysterious child, his mother, and their bodyguard. Together, this diverse group journeys through a version of Japan that has already been torn apart by war. Players will engage in battles against a variety of foes, ranging from human enemies like bandits and imperial soldiers to terrifying supernatural creatures.

During gameplay, users will have the ability to upgrade character skills, combine distinct attacks, and strategically utilize parts of the surrounding environment against their enemies. For players eager to try out the tactical mechanics ahead of the launch, a free demo is already available to download on Steam.

When Shadow of the Road officially arrives on November 12, it will be available across multiple PC storefronts, including Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
