Saraab: Beyond the Veil Launches November 3 with Arabian Folklore Horror
Solo developer Lubna Ahmed's horror visual novel follows a schoolgirl confronting her inner demons to rescue her kidnapped brother. The game arrives on PC via Steam and Itch.io on November 3.

Saraab: Beyond the Veil, a horror visual novel inspired by Arabian folklore, launches on November 3 for PC via Steam and Itch.io. Solo developer Lubna Ahmed created the game, which draws on authentic cultural themes rarely explored in gaming.
The story centers on Elham, a schoolgirl whose brother has been kidnapped. To rescue him, she must confront her inner demons, which have manifested as monsters born from her own psyche. Elham will unlock powers from her bloodline and uncover truths about her identity as she progresses.
Horror forms the foundation of Saraab, but healing plays an equally vital role. As Elham comes to terms with her destiny and beliefs, player choices shape reality and determine the story's outcome. The narrative branches based on these decisions, offering multiple paths through the experience.
The game features hand-drawn, anime-inspired artwork and an emotional soundtrack. Gameplay focuses on Elham and her shadow as she works to confront her past and reclaim her future.
A demo will be available during Steam Next Fest starting October 19, allowing players to experience the opening before the full release. "I'm incredibly excited to bring this story to players and share a world shaped by authentic cultural themes, folklore, and emotional experiences that are rarely explored in games," Ahmed said. "I hope players everywhere can connect with the game's story and characters, because ultimately, it's a story about the human heart."
