Samson: A Tyndalston Story Set for September Console Release Following Problematic PC Debut

Swedish studio Liquid Swords has announced that Samson: A Tyndalston Story will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on September 21, alongside a Microsoft Store release for PC.

Swedish studio Liquid Swords has officially announced a concrete release date for the console versions of its dark action title, Samson: A Tyndalston Story. Following an initial PC launch back in April that drew a mediocre reception and faced criticism over performance, the developer is bringing the game to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on September 21.

During the PC launch window, the game's release was described as problematic and "a bit so-so" by Liquid Swords founder Christofer Sundberg. The studio subsequently issued statements regarding unacceptable game-breaking bugs and performance issues, deploying fixes to address gameplay and stability concerns following its controversial debut.

With the upcoming console rollout, Liquid Swords has promised that both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will feature "big upgrades" compared to the initial PC launch state. Alongside the September 21 console release, a PC version will also become available via the Microsoft Store on the exact same day.
