Ryan Gosling's Ghost Rider Movie Receives 2028 Release Date Following Marvel's X-Men

A surprise Ghost Rider movie starring Ryan Gosling and directed by Shawn Levy has officially received a release date. According to details shared during Marvel's Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the film is set to debut on July 28, 2028. The announcement places it as the third Marvel movie slated for release in 2028, following X-Men on May 5, 2028, and preceding Black Panther 3 on December 15, 2028.

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige spoke about Gosling's involvement, noting that the actor is a major fan of the comics and approached the studio with a specific vision based on particular source material. "He is a huge fan of the comics; he did come to us particularly with a specific vision, based on some particular comics, but I'll let him unveil that as he wants to," Feige stated regarding the casting announcement.

Alongside the Ghost Rider project, further details regarding the upcoming X-Men film have emerged following updates at D-23. The cast announcements for the X-Men project include Maya Boyd as Storm, Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, and Adam Driver as Mister Sinister. Previously announced cast members for the X-Men lineup include Kit Connor as Scott Summers and Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, while David Jonsson was announced for a standalone Black Panther movie project.
