Rogue Prince of Persia Celebrates First Anniversary with Free Update
Ubisoft has released a free anniversary update for Rogue Prince of Persia on September 17, adding new modes, combat arenas, and mechanics to extend the game's replayability.

Rogue Prince of Persia marked its first anniversary with a free update from Ubisoft on September 17, delivering new content and gameplay improvements for the action-platformer's player base.
The update introduces several new modes designed to test different player skills. Speed Run mode challenges agility with built-in timers to track movement and optimization, while a dedicated Parkour mode emphasizes wall running, routing, and traversal mechanics. Time Attack mode rounds out the trio of new competitive options.
Combat receives substantial additions through new arenas called combat zones, where players face waves of increasingly difficult enemies. A new slingshot weapon and trap tool expand offensive options, while a freeze and slow mechanic gives players more control during intense encounters. Animal companions are now part of the official game, offering unique support in both exploration and combat situations.
The Daily Awakening system brings rotating daily challenges with specific modifiers and requirements to test adaptability and encourage consistent progression. The Nyamtur Trials provide high-stakes encounters scattered across biomes, offering advanced challenges in exchange for legendary loot rewards. Additional puzzle and combat rooms with increased difficulty were developed to push player mechanics to their limits.
The free update reflects the game's initial commercial success and Ubisoft's commitment to expanding content for its first-anniversary milestone.
