Rockstar Touts New Invite-Only Nopixel V GTA Roleplaying Server

Rockstar has announced Nopixel V, describing it as "the next evolution of the GTA 5 roleplay community." Developed in collaboration with Rockstar, the Nopixel V beta is a modded sandbox managed by Nopixel Studios. The project will be accessible through the Rockstar Games Launcher, though it is currently restricted to a list of invited streamers found on the Nopixel website.

Nopixel announced on its Discord server that access will expand over time through more phases of invites, while operations for everyone on Nopixel Public and Nopixel 4.0 remain unchanged. Because the invite list is restricted, Rockstar's announcement emphasizes watching Nopixel V being played by streamers rather than immediate open public play. Invited players are scheduled to begin streaming Nopixel V on September 8, while modders share details about the project throughout the week, including modifications to the GTA 5 map that feature the addition of 1,000 ownable properties.

The collaboration involved teams working together to develop new capabilities and refine development tools for Grand Theft Auto 5. The announcement comes as followers await the impending release of GTA 6, though Rockstar has not yet announced plans for GTA Online regarding GTA 6 or provided a PC release date for the upcoming title.
