Rock Paper Shotgun's September 2026 Supporter Rewards: ShipShaper, Sprawl Zero, and More

Rock Paper Shotgun published its monthly roundup of exclusive Supporter rewards for September 2026, thanking both Premium Supporters and free members who participated in a recent survey.

The rewards featured a mix of original editorial content. Edwin Evans-Thirlwell shared demo impressions of ShipShaper, describing it as "a game about building ships and nothing else" with "honest love for boat building." The piece praised the therapeutic appeal of the ship-building mechanics.

The outlet also published a creative interview between the Penguin from Penguin Colony and the Dog from The Thing, framed around the question "Can anyone think of another animal in a horror movie?"

Additional September content included Evans-Thirlwell's examination of Sprawl Zero's urban design, noting how the sci-fi shooter "rampages along the mirror's edge between world and corridor." Julian Benson contributed a piece arguing for pausable cutscenes as "a biological imperative" rather than merely skippable ones, and detailed his exhaustion with Vholume.

Mark reviewed Automobilista 2, while Jeremy contributed a desk tour featuring D&D materials and collectibles. The roundup concluded with a Scout Report on Rogue Eclipse, described as "a pretty cool time" despite roguehate mechanics. Editor Julian Benson's monthly letter addressed Microsoft and Xbox layoffs through the lens of corporate "content" terminology.

Rock Paper Shotgun encouraged readers to support the site for ad-free browsing and access to all Premium Supporter articles.
