Rev. NOiR Launches in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC With New Trailers Revealed at State of Play

Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that its upcoming role-playing game, Rev. NOiR, is officially scheduled to launch in 2027. Following an initial appearance during the September 2026 State of Play showcase, publisher Konami confirmed further platform details and trailers during its own Press Start presentation.

The upcoming JRPG will be released across multiple platforms, including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Alongside the release window confirmation, two new trailers provided a deeper look into the game's narrative premise and combat mechanics. The story centers on an amnesiac protagonist named Asch, who is rescued by a woman named Finé. Finé uses her Rainbow Astria ability to combat the "Lightfall," a deadly phenomenon that turns people into Blighthusks upon contact. Traveling together to defeat beings known as Provitons, Asch and Finé aim to trigger a Cessation and save humanity, though narrative hints suggest deeper underlying mysteries.

A second gameplay-focused trailer highlighted combat encounters against various opponents and bosses. Footage demonstrated character mechanics such as Kardieos, which Asch can absorb from defeated enemies to gain advantages such as an extended perfect dodge window. Special abilities showcased in the footage include Barrier Star, Blessing Star, Divine Star, Flashing Star, and Severing Star. Further updates on a precise release date are expected closer to the 2027 launch window.
