Razer Naga V3 Pro review: A specialized MMO mouse with 23 programmable buttons
Razer's latest MMORPG-focused mouse upgrades to 23 programmable buttons and three interchangeable side plates, though reaching 8000Hz polling requires a separate purchase.

Razer has released an updated version of its dedicated MMORPG mouse, the Naga V3 Pro, which builds on the previous generation with several hardware improvements designed for raid-heavy gameplay.
The Naga V3 Pro weighs 117 grams and features the Razer Optical Mouse Switch Gen-4 paired with the Razer Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3. It comes equipped with 23 programmable buttons, up from 20 on the Naga V2 Pro. The mouse includes three interchangeable side plates: a two-button plate for general computing, a six-button plate for simpler games, and a 12-button plate for demanding titles like Path of Exile 2.
One of the new additions is an extra programmable button positioned near where the ring or pinky finger typically rests. While the button is designed for functions like jump commands or microphone toggling, some users may find this placement intrusive during regular use.
The customizable mouse wheel offers multiple modes including free spin, tactile, and precise tactile settings. The tactile modes are designed to prevent overshooting when cycling through inventory or skill trees. Smart-Reel Mode allows users to tune the wheel to their specific scrolling speed through Razer Synapse software, though this feature works best when gaming habits remain consistent.
The mouse supports a 1000Hz polling rate out of the box, matching the Naga V2 Pro. Support for 8000Hz polling is available but requires purchasing a separate dongle, which represents an additional cost beyond the mouse's $179.99 USD retail price.
Razer Synapse software handles all customizations for the Naga V3 Pro. The interface allows users to create multiple profiles for different games and apply settings almost immediately. Users can disable unwanted buttons, switch between side plates, and adjust mouse wheel behavior within the software.
In testing, the Naga V3 Pro proved effective as a specialized tool for MMO gameplay, though everyday general-purpose mice remain competitive for non-MMORPG use cases. The mouse is available now at retailers carrying Razer products.
