Rayman Legends Retold Brings 3D Visuals and New Levels to Consoles and PC in December
Ubisoft's reimagined platformer Rayman Legends Retold features enhanced 3D graphics, new musical stages, and cooperative play when it launches on December 3, 2026.

Publisher Ubisoft and developers Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan are preparing for the upcoming release of Rayman Legends Retold. The side-scrolling platform game is scheduled to launch on December 3, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. Originally planned for an October 1 release date, Ubisoft delayed the title to ensure every detail receives proper care. The reimagined remake is based on the 2013 game Rayman Legends, serving as the fifth main title in the Rayman series.
Rayman Legends Retold introduces enhanced 3D graphics built using Ubisoft's Snowdrop game engine. While the visual presentation utilizes the Snowdrop engine for rendering, audio, and detailed 3D cinematics, the physics and gameplay mechanics continue to run within the original UbiArt Framework. Playable characters in the adventure include Rayman, Barbara, Globox, and Grand Minimus. Players can experience the game solo or team up with up to four players in co-op mode. An easy mode feature is also available, allowing players to activate a floating bubble to bypass particularly difficult sections.
The reimagined release expands significantly upon the original content by adding new levels and a sixth new realm known as The Land of the Livid Dead. Players will also encounter dragon-riding sequences, revised local multiplayer controls for Kung Foot, and brand new cinematics that retell much of the story. The soundtrack features compositions by Christophe Héral and Grant Kirkhope, alongside voice acting from David Gasman as Rayman and Billy West as Murfy. Furthermore, the game doubles its musical stages to a dozen levels, incorporating new tracks inspired by songs like the Macarena and MC Hammer's U Can't Touch This.
Fans purchasing the standard edition will also receive Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition as part of the package. This updated version of the 2011 game offers 4K resolution, 60 frames-per-second support, new collectibles, rewards, and quality-of-life changes, and it will also be available as a standalone purchase on the same launch date.
