Project Wingman, an indie aerial combat game inspired by Ace Combat, is on sale for $12.50 during the Steam Autumn Sale. For players hesitant about Ace Combat 8's $70 price tag, the title offers a more affordable entry into high-intensity dogfighting gameplay.

Developed as a passion project, Project Wingman began as a portfolio piece before securing Kickstarter backing that nearly tripled its funding goal. The game launched on Steam in December 2020 and has accumulated over 22,000 reviews with a 93% positive rating, earning an Overwhelmingly Positive designation on the platform.

Beyond arcade air combat, Project Wingman includes a roguelike Conquest Mode where players battle enemy squadrons for territory and earn funds to build custom airfleets.
