Probably Stolen Demo Brings Dystopian Corner Store Management to PC
A demo for the upcoming shopkeeping simulation game Probably Stolen offers players a glimpse into managing a cramped store on a dystopian space station.

A new demo for the upcoming shopkeeping simulation game Probably Stolen has drawn attention for its blend of dystopian survival mechanics and retail management. Players operate a cramped store situated on a dystopian space station, dealing in a wide variety of goods ranging from purified water and rat meat to contraband weapons, drugs, and stolen items.
The gameplay loop incorporates several distinct features, including upgrading shops with gadgets, managing inventory risks such as security raids and thievery, and navigating a broader class war. Players can report wanted customers to security for rewards, though those customers might belong to the local resistance. The game also features a magnifying glass tool used to examine items for counterfeits and judge their value, alongside scavenging and farming systems reminiscent of survival titles.
Probably Stolen is scheduled for release next month on PC. The current demo has drawn comparisons to several titles, including Papers, Please, Strange Horticulture, Fallout, and Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale, due to its decision-making, appraisal mechanics, haggling, and fluctuating market demands.
