PlayStation appears to be testing a new rewards program called 'Wallet Credits' that grants users store credit with qualifying purchases. Several players have reported receiving $10 in PlayStation Store credit after buying games including The Blood of Dawnwalker, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Halloween.

The feature is not yet available to all users. Insider Gaming confirmed that access appears limited to select regions, as the outlet was unable to replicate the feature on consoles in Brazil, India, or the United Kingdom. Players who have received the credit took to social media to share screenshots of the reward.

The timing of the test suggests a connection to PlayStation Stars, Sony's existing rewards program. PlayStation Stars is scheduled to shut down completely on November 2, 2026. Wallet Credits could serve as a replacement or complementary rewards system, though Sony has not officially announced the feature or confirmed its purpose.

The Wallet Credits offer requires players to make a purchase to claim the reward, distinguishing it from standalone loyalty programs. PlayStation has not provided details about which games or regions currently qualify for the bonus, or whether the program will expand to broader availability.

Sony typically announces major platform features through official channels, but this test has proceeded without public comment. The company may reveal more information after the PlayStation Stars shutdown date, though the company has not confirmed any timeline for an announcement.
