Piroker, an asynchronous multiplayer poker game with a pirate theme, has opened signups for its playtest on Steam. The game was revealed during the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct with a new animated trailer.

Players pick a pirate captain and compete against seven others to score the best poker hands. The game deals seven cards and automatically scores every possible hand combination, similar to the roguelike Balatro. Like Balatro, Piroker emphasizes wild deck-building through relics, items that increase card values, apply multipliers, or modify suits and scoring rules. Collecting three identical relics upgrades them into more powerful variants.

Scoring dynamics add strategic depth. The highest-scoring players win the round, while lower-scoring players take damage unless they happen to be the one loser spared by the random distribution. This creates moments where luck can give struggling players time to assemble their builds.

According to PC Gamer's account of an early build, the relics system enables broken combinations if players build carefully. The game's animated trailer sets the tone of the pirate-themed experience and directs players toward the playtest signup page.

Piroker has no announced release date. Players can wishlist the game and sign up for the playtest on Steam.
