Persona 5: The Phantom X Adds Persona 3 Portable Heroine Kotone Shiomi on September 24

Atlus has announced the official release date for the debut of Persona 3 Portable heroine Kotone Shiomi in the mobile and PC game Persona 5: The Phantom X. The female protagonist, who is completely new and has not been previously available in the Chinese release of the game, will arrive on September 24, 2026. Her debut is part of the upcoming 4.10 update and will be accompanied by an in-game event tied to Persona 3 Portable.

More details regarding Kotone's role and signature element will be revealed during the X-Stream showcase scheduled for September 21, 2026. While her specific gameplay details are currently unconfirmed, other Persona 3 characters who joined the game have been featured as five-star units. For comparison, the male Persona 3 protagonist, Makoto Yuki, is an Assassin unit who deals Fire damage.

Her arrival will also bring new music arrangements to the game. Atlus has released an animated teaser trailer featuring the game's protagonist, Wonder, before transitioning to focus on Kotone Shiomi. In addition, rerun banners have been launched for past Persona 3 characters in Persona 5: The Phantom X. Players have another opportunity to acquire five-star units Akihiko Sanada, Makoto Yuki, and Yukari Takeba.

Makoto's rerun banner is scheduled to end on June 26, 2027, while the banners for Akihiko, an Electric-damage Sweeper, and Yukari, a Wind-damage Medic, will remain available until November 2027. Persona 5: The Phantom X is currently available for PCs and mobile devices.
