PC Gamer has published a ranking of Resident Evil villains sorted by how likely the writer believes they could change them for the better.

Donna Beneviento from Resident Evil Village tops the list as most changeable. The writer notes that her heart wasn't in her villainy and that showing genuine interest in her dolls would be enough to set her on a healthier path.

Alex Wesker ranks as surprisingly redeemable too. The writer argues that her god-complex, which stems from a need to be liked mixed with narcissism, could be managed. The writer also notes a practical advantage: Alex Wesker likely wouldn't want to steal their body due to low blood iron.

T-00, known as Mr. X, presents trickier territory. The writer's strategy involves removing the rocket launcher to build trust without fear, then giving him a proper name like Jeff to humanise him rather than keeping the formal villain moniker.

Albert Wesker rounds out the redeemable tier, though the writer admits their confidence here relies mostly on intuition, a winning smile, and a can-do attitude rather than concrete reasoning.

Salvatore Moreau from Resident Evil Village, nicknamed fish boy, is firmly off the table. The writer has no interest in attempting his redemption.
