A long-time PC Gamer editor has shared 13 games currently on their Steam Wishlist, offering a window into the kinds of projects tracking the publication's attention. The selection skews toward tactics games, first-person shooters, and deckbuilders across various stages of development.

Several entries are notable sequels and spinoffs. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Tactics, revealed at Gamescom, marks the second Siege spinoff following Extraction. Enter the Gungeon 2 arrives a decade after the original bullet-hell roguelike. A game called Hunger, described as an 18th-century FPS with occult elements, draws comparison to Hunt: Showdown, which the editor notes is their most-played Steam game.

Other standouts include Kriegsfront Tactics, positioned as a spiritual successor to PlayStation's Front Mission series with a 1970s Southeast Asia setting. Anvil Empires represents a shift for Foxhole's developers into a persistent medieval strategy MMO. Space Station 14 is described as an endearingly old-school multiplayer sandbox inspired by SS13, a favorite of DayZ creator Dean Hall.

Lesser-known titles round out the list. Hull Rupture is a spaceship tower defense game noted as the third entry in the Despot's Game universe. Let's Build a Dungeon is a management sim where players run an MMO studio, with the quirk that in-game projects can be leaked. Lancer Tactics adapts the beloved mecha TTRPG into RPG Maker format. Mars Tactics brings Japanese art sensibilities to tactics gameplay under publisher Hooded Horse. Wane is a turn-based game combining horror, Dishonored, and Disco Elysium influences. D.O.R.F. Real-Time Strategic Conflict is described as a Command & Conquer successor with varied unit scales. Away Team functions as multiplayer Oxygen Not Included with systemic gas, liquid, and temperature simulation.

Several games lack confirmed release dates. Anvil Empires, for instance, has been in development for years without a firm launch window.
