Visionary Realms has implemented layoffs for Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen alongside a promise to refine the studio development processes. CEO Chris Rowan addressed fans of the early access sandbox title in a published letter.

In the communication, Rowan acknowledged that recent attempts by the team to implement sweeping updates to combat and character progression did not work out as intended. The acknowledgement follows a difficult period for the project as developers attempt to adjust their course for the early access sandbox game.

Players following the development of Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen are affected by the restructuring as the studio re-evaluates its pipeline. Visionary Realms has not yet detailed the full long term impact of the workforce reductions on the production schedule.
