Of Ash and Steel Confirmed for Consoles Alongside New Expansion

Publisher tinyBuild and developer Fire & Frost Studios announced a console version and the Shattered Faith expansion for the fantasy action RPG Of Ash and Steel.

Publisher tinyBuild and developer Fire & Frost Studios have announced that open-world fantasy action RPG Of Ash and Steel is heading to home consoles. Following its initial PC release last year, the title is officially scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A specific release date for the console editions has not been announced yet.

Alongside the console announcement, the developers revealed a new expansion titled Shattered Faith. This upcoming add-on sends players on a mysterious expedition into the forgotten regions of Grayshaft to search for powerful artifacts. The expansion features six new locations, two new magic schools, a new poleaxe weapon class, and new beasts to battle. Much like the base game, the expansion currently lacks a concrete release date.

Of Ash and Steel takes inspiration from classic 2000s role-playing games such as Gothic and The Witcher. Set in an unforgiving low-fantasy world within the Kingdom of the Seven, the story casts players as a cartographer stranded on the island of Greyshaft after an attack on his expedition.
