New York Videogame Critics Circle Hosting Charity Stream Featuring Control Resonant Developer

The New York Videogame Critics Circle is hosting a Playing With Purpose back to school charity stream on Saturday, September 19. The goal of the event is to raise $2,500 for the non-profit Circle educational program. This program provides free writing courses, scholarships, and internships for underserved New York City high school students interested in careers within games journalism or the video game industry.

The Saturday stream starts at 1 pm on Twitch and features live gaming alongside an array of guest appearances. Organizers have gathered a crew of special guests to celebrate games, including Cliff Bleszinski and Abubakar Salim.

Viewers can also catch a pre-recorded interview during the 6 pm hour. The half-hour chat features Arhi Makkonen, a senior level designer working on Control Resonant at Remedy Entertainment. The discussion covers his journey from student to developer, his previous work on the original Control, and how the team changed things up for Resonant.
