Nintendo eShop Update Highlights New Releases Including Orbitals and Onimusha: Way of the Sword

A fresh round of software additions has arrived across Nintendo platforms, highlighted by new eShop launches, updates, classic titles, and digital promotions. Leading the lineup of fresh digital software is Orbitals, an intergalactic two-player cooperative adventure set in a retro anime-inspired universe where characters Maki and Omura brave a deadly Storm Wall. Also available now on the Nintendo Switch 2 is Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, which combines dungeon-crawling dimension exploration with shop management gameplay.

Several upcoming titles have secured explicit release dates on the eShop. NBA 2K27 is scheduled to launch on September 4 for the Nintendo Switch 2 system, featuring MyCAREER, MyTEAM, MyNBA, and ProPLAY features alongside a legacy-defining story mode spanning five eras. Arriving alongside it on September 4 is Onimusha: Way of the Sword, an action game following Miyamoto Musashi as he fights through a dark fantasy Kyoto with Joy-Con 2 motion controls. Additional upcoming eShop releases scheduled for the Nintendo Switch 2 include Jenny LeClue – Detectivu on September 7, Mewgenics on September 8, MY HERO ACADEMIA: All’s Justice on September 4, SPRAWL zero on September 8, and Valheim on September 9. Standard Nintendo Switch eShop entries feature titles such as Dice A Million on September 4, FlyKnight on September 5, Isle of Reveries on September 4, and One-inch Tactics on September 9.

Nintendo Switch Online subscribers have received a trio of classic Nintendo Entertainment System additions. The new titles include Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom, the action shooter Ikari Warriors featuring cooperative roles for Paul and Vince, and the 1992 racing sequel R.C. Pro-Am II, which supports up to two players across 24 tracks with built-in bonus minigames.

In addition to new games, Nintendo announced a free update for Pikmin 3 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring display-optimized visuals and local or online Bingo Battle support for two players via GameChat. Meanwhile, the Nintendo Music application has expanded its catalog with "An Ode to Fódlan," featuring selections from the Fire Emblem: Three Houses soundtrack. Finally, a Blockbuster Sale is underway on the Nintendo eShop for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms, running until September 9 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
