Nintendo Denies September 24 Release Date for The Duskbloods
Nintendo has officially denied a September 24 release date for The Duskbloods after the date appeared in early preview coverage.
Nintendo has officially denied that The Duskbloods will be releasing on September 24. The denial follows the appearance of the date in an early preview of the game published at the end of coverage by The Guardian, which was written following a trip to Tokyo to play the title ahead of an upcoming network test.
Discrepancies emerged when other publications attending the same preview trip omitted the specific date, reporting instead that the game would launch later this year. Seeking clarification, Eurogamer contacted Nintendo and received a direct response from an official spokesperson stating, "The release date is inaccurate because there is no information regarding [the] release date of the Duskbloods."
The scheduling confusion arrives just one day prior to a closed network test for the game. Public sign-ups for this test opened following a trailer shown during a Nintendo Direct presentation last month. Additionally, the weekend has seen leaked gameplay footage circulate online, with clips uploaded to the social media platform Bilibili before being subsequently removed.
