Fall-Net Studios has released a debut trailer for New Vegas: Online, a fan-made mod that brings multiplayer to Fallout: New Vegas. The project invites players to explore the Mojave Wasteland with new factions, locations, creatures, and multiplayer mechanics designed to deliver an MMO experience within the classic 2010 post-apocalyptic RPG.

New Vegas: Online is free-to-play for anyone with a legitimate copy of Fallout: New Vegas on Steam and access to the project's Discord server. The mod uses optional subscriptions that provide cosmetics, small quality-of-life improvements, and monthly boosts. The development team aims to keep the game "as vanilla as possible" while building a framework for replayable multiplayer content.

Fall-Net has implemented substantial additions to the base game, including over 100 capturable locations and five expansions with new worldspaces. To ensure a smooth multiplayer experience, the team has incorporated systems inspired by Fallout 76, such as quest synchronization that tracks objectives separately for each player, a non-dupable loot sync system, in-game chat, administration teams, and combat synchronization to eliminate latency and hit registration issues.

Fallout's modding community is known for large-scale conversion mods that reimagine entire games. New Vegas: Online arrives as one of the most popular entries in the franchise gains renewed attention, with a remaster in development. The project represents an unofficial attempt to bring multiplayer depth to what many players consider the best Fallout game ever made, more than a decade after the original's release.
