Necro Pop Receives Steam Demo and Sets 2027 Release Across Multiple Platforms
Developer Nalua Studio has launched a PC demo for its upcoming arcadevania title Necro Pop, with a full release planned for 2027.

Developer Nalua Studio has released a playable Steam demo for its upcoming title Necro Pop. The game is currently in development for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, alongside original Neo Geo AES and MVS hardware.
Described by its creators as an arcadevania, the title follows a ghost character named Poppi. After being temporarily returned to a corporeal form, Poppi must save her phantom friends from a sinister force known as The Gloam. Players explore the native land of Ghostreach while utilizing various spells, weaponry, and powers to unlock new areas in a style reminiscent of classic Metroidvania design.
The newly available demo gives players their first hands-on opportunity to try out Poppi's adventure. During the preview, players can explore Ghostreach and fight off enemies such as skeletal spectres, killer snails, and mutant flies sent by The Gloam.
Alongside the demo launch, Nalua Studio announced that Necro Pop will appear at the Tokyo Game Show starting on September 17 at Makuhari Messe. Physical pre-orders for the original Neo Geo edition are currently hosted on the Terraonion store. While the Pro MVS Vengeance Hunter edition has sold out, standard AES and MVS versions remain available starting at 349 euros.
Players uninterested in purchasing physical Neo Geo hardware will be able to buy the game on other formats when it launches. Necro Pop is officially scheduled to release in 2027.
