Naughty Dog's Intergalactic Getting Full Reveal in 2027

Neil Druckmann announced that Intergalactic will receive a complete reveal in 2027 after remaining quiet since its December 2024 announcement. The studio is working on what it calls its most ambitious game yet.

Naughty Dog will fully reveal Intergalactic in 2027, studio president Neil Druckmann announced during The Last of Us Day celebration. The studio has remained largely silent about the project since its December 2024 announcement, but Druckmann confirmed the team will "be quiet for the rest of the year" before changing course.

"In 2027, that changes. We'll fully reveal Intergalactic and give you a proper look at Jordan's wild sci-fi adventure," Druckmann said. He acknowledged the wait, stating: "We know it's been a long time since we've had much to share with you. We don't take your continued support for granted. We're working incredibly hard to make something worthy of your patience."

Druckmann reiterated that Intergalactic is Naughty Dog's "most ambitious game yet." He described an energetic studio environment as development progresses. "There's an electricity around the studio right now as all the pieces come together," he said, adding the team looks forward to revealing the game "in all its glory." The studio is taking time to perfect the experience, noting "we need to cook for just a little bit longer."

New artwork shared during the announcement shows protagonist Jordan on the planet Sempiria, apparently pursuing a bounty before becoming stranded. She must survive on a world from which no one has escaped in over 600 years. The game explores themes of loneliness and reportedly draws inspiration from Elden Ring's player freedom, though Souls-like gameplay elements remain unconfirmed. Intergalactic marks Naughty Dog's first new intellectual property in over 13 years, with development underway since 2020.
