Mycopunk robot versus fungi FPS leaves early access October 20
Pigeons at Play's cooperative shooter Mycopunk will launch from early access on October 20, 2026. Players squad up as robots to eliminate fungal infestations across alien planets.

Mycopunk, the cooperative FPS from Pigeons at Play, will exit early access on October 20, 2026, the studio announced at PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct.
The game casts players as a squad of robots deployed to alien planets to eliminate fungal creatures infesting them. Missions vary from straightforward objectives like clearing enemy-infested areas to complex tasks such as building railguns to destroy spacecraft. Players get multiple lives per mission, allowing solo play or accommodating friends who need to drop out.
Fungal enemies disassemble as players fight them, and destroyed pieces must be eliminated too. Any remaining fragment can keep the creature alive, and other enemies can absorb debris to evolve into stranger forms.
Between missions, players return to a space station where they customise loadouts, upgrade gear, play minigames, and interact with friends and NPCs. The upgrade system uses a hexagonal grid where players install shapes to optimise weapon and class builds.
Mycopunk is currently available in early access on Steam. The game received the Freeze & Fester update in August.
