Monochrome Echoes White and Black Getting Physical Nintendo Switch Release in Japan

Publishers Mebius and Thousand Games have announced plans to release a physical game package for the Nintendo Switch in Japan. The upcoming bundle, titled the Monochrome Echoes - White & Black W(Double) Pack, combines both Monochrome Echoes - white - and Monochrome Echoes - black - onto a single physical cartridge and is scheduled to launch on January 21, 2027.

The physical bundle will be offered in two distinct versions for players and collectors. The Regular Edition will carry a price tag of ¥5,500, while the Limited Edition will be sold for ¥11,000. According to the announcement, the Limited Edition package includes a bonus rulebook for a tabletop talk RPG version set within the Monochrome Echoes universe.

Previously, both titles in the series were released separately on PC via Steam. White launched in April of the previous year, followed by an Early Access launch for Black in mid-July. Regarding language support, it remains unconfirmed whether the upcoming Japanese Switch release will include English text. However, the game's copyright listing notes that publishing and English translation are handled by Mebius. Mebius previously added formal English localization to the PC Steam release of White on June 3, whereas the PC version of Black has continued its Early Access run supporting only the Japanese language.
