MLBB Continental Championships Season 8 Returns After Team Spirit’s Historic MSC 2026 Victory

The MLBB Continental Championships Season 8 (MCC Season 8) is set to begin on August 28, 2026, marking the return of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) competition. This upcoming season follows a historic international milestone for the region, as defending MCC champions Team Spirit recently captured the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) at the 2026 Esports World Cup.

Team Spirit made history by becoming the first team from outside Southeast Asia to win an official international Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament. In the MSC 2026 Grand Finals, the seven-time MCC champions defeated Yangon Galacticos 4-3, securing the $1 million first-place prize and making EECA the fourth region to claim the MSC title, alongside Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia.

Attention now shifts back to the regional circuit with MCC Season 8, which will feature eight teams competing from August 28 to October 31, 2026. The Regular Season spans six weekends and wraps up on October 4, while the Playoffs are scheduled from October 9 to October 31. Alongside a $40,000 prize pool, participating teams will battle for the chance to represent the EECA region at the M8 World Championship, which will take place in Istanbul, Türkiye, in January 2027.

As seven-time champions and the reigning titleholders, Team Spirit enters MCC Season 8 as the team to beat. Their victory keeps them in contention for the coveted Golden Road—a feat requiring a team to win all major domestic and international MLBB esports titles within a single competitive year, which has never been accomplished in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang history.
