Roblox Lets Creators Export Standalone Apps in New Roblox Everywhere Push
Roblox announced Roblox Everywhere at its Developers Conference, letting creators release games as standalone apps on PC, console, and mobile.

Roblox is moving to let creators release their games outside the Roblox platform. At the Roblox Developers Conference, the company announced Roblox Everywhere, an initiative that will allow developers to export their creations as standalone apps across mobile, PC, and consoles.
"Soon, creators will have the option to make their games available as standalone apps across mobile, PC, and consoles, with Roblox powering the technology and services underneath," a Roblox representative said.
The company is still working out details about which storefronts will host these standalone games. A Roblox rep told PC Gamer that releasing them on platforms like Steam, Epic, and GOG is the goal, but options are still being explored. "We will start with a select set of gaming developers and storefronts to test, and we will share more details soon."
Roblox remains a major force in gaming. Industry analyst Matthew Ball, now chief strategy officer at Xbox, said in 2025 that Roblox accounted for more player engagement and revenue growth than Steam, PlayStation, and Fortnite combined.
The move could open new audiences to Roblox creators. Many popular games on the platform are currently limited to the Roblox ecosystem, even if they rival traditional titles in scope and quality. As PC Gamer's Morgan Park wrote earlier this year about the hit Roblox shooter TTK, "many folks [are] only now learning that the platform is capable of more than idle clickers, horror walking sims, and 'obbies' (obstacle platformers)."
Roblox Everywhere is not the only expansion planned. The company also expects to have its games joinable in a browser (Chrome first, others to follow) by the end of the year, with no external software or installation required. A new offline option will also enable singleplayer games even when not on a network.
