Metro 2039 Scheduled for February 2027 Release Following Gamescom Trailer Reveal

Developer 4A Games has officially announced that Metro 2039 is scheduled for a release window of February 2027. The upcoming title was showcased during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event, where the studio shared a brand-new story trailer highlighting the bleak world of the Metro and introducing the mysterious protagonist known as the Stranger.

According to the trailer details, the Stranger possesses unusual powers that he can utilize to dismantle the Novoreich, a newly established and oppressive regime created by a former Spartan Hunter. In addition to the release window update, 4A Games confirmed that a Collector's Edition of the game will include a physical Spartan helmet, which was made available for attendees to view on the Gamescom show floor.

When Metro 2039 launches in February 2027, it will be available across multiple modern platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
