Megabit and Aska Studios partner on co-op shooter Gang of Frogs

Publisher Megabit and indie developer Aska Studios have announced they are partnering on Gang of Frogs, an action co-op shooter designed for solo play or teams of up to four.

The game puts players in the boots of a frog outlaw fighting through hordes of monsters and bugs across hand-crafted worlds. Combat combines quick, fluid gunplay with deep progression systems. Players gear up their crew with loot, unlock skill upgrades, and build hands of cards infused with old military tech to strike back at an empire oppressing frogs.

Ahead of an Early Access launch next year, Megabit and Aska Studios are inviting the community to help shape development through regular playtests. The first playtest runs October 1-4, giving players early access to the game and direct input on its direction.

Ólafur Hrafn Steinarsson, CEO of Aska Studios, said in a statement: "Getting the game in front of players early and often is really important to us. The feedback we get from players is not only very useful, but it brings us and our community closer together."

Beyond the October playtest, Megabit and Aska Studios plan regular playtests throughout development, weekly developer updates, and an active Discord community where players can speak directly with the team.
