Chinese mouse manufacturer Mchose has released two new gaming mice that offer high-end specifications and performance at budget prices. The $90 K7 V2 Ultra+ and $80 A7 V3 Ultra+ closely resemble the $160 Razer Viper V4 Pro and $180 Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike respectively, according to a review from Digital Foundry.

Both mice feature identical core specifications. They weigh less than 60g and use a PixArt 3955 optical sensor capable of native 1K, 2K or 4K sensor polling. Max wireless polling rates reach 8K via wireless or wired connections. A Nordic nRF54L15 MCU manages battery efficiency even at higher polling rates. The K7 offers DPIs up to 40,000 while the A7 reaches 50,000.

The switches beneath the primary buttons are Omron D2FC-F-7N mechanical switches rated for 100 million actuations. The scroll wheel uses a TTC Gold encoder. These components are typically found on much more expensive mice, according to the review.

Where the Mchose mice diverge from flagship Western competitors is in special features. The Razer Viper V4 Pro emphasizes battery efficiency and design, while the Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike includes a novel rapid trigger mechanism that eliminates the traditional mechanical clicking system. The Mchose mice lack these innovations but are priced accordingly.

Software management comes via M Hub, a web-based configuration tool organised into tabs for key config, DPI, lighting, performance and additional options. Profiles can be stored locally or in the cloud, and firmware updates don't require separate downloads. A traditional desktop app is available as an alternative. While the software lacks Razer's game integration library, the web interface is considered a functional equivalent to mainstream offerings.

The reviewer tested both mice in performance-focused titles. In 007 First Light, the familiar shape and responsive performance enabled effective gameplay through defend-the-objective sequences. Counter-Strike 2 testing confirmed the mice felt extremely responsive in competitive play.

The reviewer concluded that the Mchose mice deliver approximately 99 percent of the mainstream flagship mouse experience at around half the price. The K7 V2 Ultra+ is recommended for those who previously favoured Razer mice, while the A7 V3 Ultra+ is suggested as the safer alternative for general users, offering similar performance at $10 less.
